On the morning of March 3, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and candidates of the 16th National Assembly (NA) deputies from constituency No. 12 met with voters in An Nhon Tay, Thai My, Nhuan Duc communes and Division 9, before the election.
Election unit No. 12 includes candidates: Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Election Council Tran Thanh Man; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Foreign Trade Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Vietcombank); Mr. Pham Dinh Dung - Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agriculture Zone; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huong (Nguyen Thi Kong Tra) - CEO of Viet Nature Import-Export Co., Ltd.; Mr. Duong Van Thang - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Military Court, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Justice of the Central Military Court.

Before the meeting with voters in Ho Chi Minh City, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man offered flowers and incense at Ben Duoc Martyrs' Memorial Temple.
At the conference, candidates presented action programs, expressing commitments if elected as National Assembly deputies.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that in the past time, the Party and State have issued many important guidelines and policies to serve the development of the country.
Specifically for Ho Chi Minh City, the 14th National Assembly issued Resolution 54 on piloting specific mechanisms and policies for the city's development; the 15th National Assembly issued Resolution 98/2023 and Resolution 260/2025 with outstanding mechanisms, thereby contributing to helping Ho Chi Minh City become a leader in economic, cultural, social, defense and security development.
However, compared to the set requirements, the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular still face many difficulties. Therefore, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that he will work with the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly and the Government to spend time paying attention to and solving many key issues.
Specifically, it will focus on removing bottlenecks in institutions; innovating thinking in law-making; improving the effectiveness of law enforcement; strengthening discipline and order in law enforcement.
From there, contributing to the effective implementation of specific and outstanding mechanisms of Ho Chi Minh City, especially in planning, finance, investment, land management, environment, inter-regional transport infrastructure, digital infrastructure and science - technology; at the same time, effectively implementing 10 specialized resolutions of the Politburo on economy, culture, society, science - technology.

In addition, promote the development of the knowledge economy; growth based on productivity, science - technology and innovation, digital transformation; attracting talents in key areas; training and developing human resources, especially high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of integration and international competition; promptly reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters and people.
The top priority of National Assembly and People's Council deputies is to regularly contact voters, listen to the opinions of voters and people; pay attention to and direct the fundamental resolution of many urgent issues of Ho Chi Minh City that voters are concerned about such as flooding, environmental pollution, traffic congestion, security and order, social housing, hospitals, and schools" - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank said that if trusted by voters, he will participate in perfecting laws on economy, finance - banking, investment, businesses, digital transformation and sustainable development; propose stable and transparent policies, reduce compliance costs, and expand access to capital for businesses and people, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, business households, and innovative businesses.
He pledged to contribute to perfecting specific mechanisms for Ho Chi Minh City, developing capital markets, green finance, digital finance, and international financial centers.
At the same time, pay attention to supervising resolutions on socio-economic development, public investment, and the business environment; promptly remove bottlenecks, ensure the safety of the financial - banking system, and unlock resources for production and innovation.
He also emphasized maintaining voter contact, supporting vulnerable people, promoting comprehensive finance, digital banking, cashless payments, contributing to building a civilized, modern, and compassionate Ho Chi Minh City.
