In the afternoon of March 3, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and candidates for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026 - 2031, belonging to constituency No. 12 of Ho Chi Minh City, attended a meeting with voters in Tan An Hoi and Cu Chi communes before the election.
At the meeting, voters reflected on the situation that many areas and projects have been planned for a long time but are slow to implement, prolonged for many years, directly affecting the rights and lives of people.
Voters proposed that functional agencies accelerate the progress of projects that have been approved; at the same time, review, adjust or remove unsuitable plans to reduce difficulties, create conditions to stabilize life and develop production.
In addition, some opinions also raised difficulties in the process of implementing tax policies, wishing to be removed so that people and business households can feel secure in operating.

Exchanging with voters about planning and suspended projects, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that planning must be built methodically, fundamentally, with a long-term vision. In any term, leaders must comply with the approved planning, and cannot arbitrarily adjust or change it.
However, based on that planning, it is impossible to allow the situation of "suspended planning, suspended projects, suspended works" to occur for a long time, causing waste of land resources and affecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
According to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, each project must have a specific implementation schedule; if it is not feasible, it needs to be reviewed, adjusted or canceled, to avoid causing people to suffer losses.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that the National Assembly will continue to strengthen supervision of land use projects, clarify the responsibilities of organizations and individuals who are slow to implement or allow land to be wasted.
At the same time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and commune-level People's Councils to promote their supervisory role in the area more strongly.
Projects that have been approved for many years but have not been implemented must be reviewed for feasibility, clearly defining completion deadlines. If they are no longer suitable for reality, it is necessary to boldly adjust or cancel the planning. "I request city leaders to pay attention to handling the issues raised by voters" - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man directed.
Regarding the difficulties in implementing tax policies, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his sharing with the people, saying that he would seriously take it seriously to reflect to the tax authorities and the Ministry of Finance.
According to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, tax policy must ensure the principle of "nurturing revenue sources", not maximizing revenue; it is necessary to take care of and create conditions for people and businesses to maintain stable production and business, thereby contributing to increasing sustainable revenue sources for the budget.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the National Assembly has recently fundamentally amended laws related to finance and taxation. When the Government promulgates decrees and guiding circulars, obstacles will be gradually removed, ensuring fair tax calculation methods and strict financial discipline.
On the same day, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man led a delegation of Party and State leaders to visit Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Hanh (Xom Trai hamlet, An Nhon Tay commune, Ho Chi Minh City).

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also visited and worked with Division 9, Army Corps 34.
