On the afternoon of September 9, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung chaired a meeting on adjusting the National Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
The Ministry of Finance is assigned to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to adjust the National Master Plan to report to the Government for consideration and approval before submitting to the 15th National Assembly for consideration and decision at the 10th Session.
The Ministry of Finance has directed the implementation of the adjustment of the National Master Plan in two main approaches: Approaching from the requirements of double-digit growth targets and approaching from promoting the potential of sectors, fields, regions and localities.
Along with that is to adjust the development goals of regions and localities, maximize the potential and advantages of regions and localities, the infrastructure network that has been invested in and built; effectively promote major policies and guidelines.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung highly appreciated the proactive spirit and efforts of the Ministry of Finance in organizing research and developing a dossier to adjust the National Master Plan in a very urgent time, basically meeting the requirements.
The adjusted contents have closely followed the orientation of the 12th Central Conference, updated the new resolutions of the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee issued in the past.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to carefully study and absorb the opinions of delegates, continue to consult with experts and the Prime Minister's Policy Advisory Council in the spirit of adjustment to meet the requirements of the new situation, take advantage of opportunities, overcome challenges through this planning adjustment.
"In particular, it is necessary to consider the relationship of adjusting the National Master Plan in the national planning system. How should the lower-level plans be adjusted?" - the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
For additional detailed contents and recommendations, ministries and branches need to urgently review and carefully study documents sent by the Ministry of Finance for comments and proposals no later than September 11.
Next, the Ministry of Finance completes the dossier and reports to the Government no later than September 15. The Government Office reports to the Government and the Prime Minister for comments so that the Ministry of Finance can complete the dossier, collect comments from members of the Government to approve the Resolution and assign the Ministry of Finance to submit to the National Assembly the dossier to adjust the National Master Plan before September 25.
The Government reports to the National Assembly Standing Committee at the meeting on October 4-6 of the National Assembly Standing Committee to ensure conditions for submitting to the National Assembly at the 10th session.
