On June 14, Mr. Hoang Nam, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, confirmed that he had issued a plan to organize and pilot the operation of local authorities at the commune and ward levels after the arrangement of administrative units, according to the 2-level government model.
According to the plan, 9 new ward and commune-level administrative units will be put into trial operation from June 17, including: Vinh Linh commune (Vinh Linh district), Gio Linh commune (Gio Linh district), Cam Lo commune (Cam Lo district), Huong Hiep commune (Dakrong district), Khe Sanh commune (Huong Hoa district), Trieu Phong commune (Trieu Phong district), Dien Sanh commune (Hai Lang district), Dong Ha ward (Dong Ha city), Quang Tri ward (Quang Tri town).
The content of the trial operation focuses on organizing the People's Committee apparatus at the first session of the People's Council of the commune and ward; organizing the first meeting of the People's Committee to approve working regulations; operation of the Public Administration Service Center at the commune level... Thereby, gradually perfecting the process of directing, operating and the ability to handle administrative procedures for people, ensuring smoothness, efficiency and closeness to practice.
