On February 2nd, in Duyen Hai ward, Vinh Long province, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province organized a meeting between candidates for the 16th National Assembly, constituency No. 4, and about 200 voters in Duyen Hai ward and Truong Long Hoa ward.
At the meeting, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee approved the summary biographies of the candidates for voters to follow and study. The candidates presented an action program, clearly stating their goals and work orientations if they are trusted by voters to be elected as delegates to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam.
Voters in Duyen Hai ward expressed their concern about local socio-economic development issues, social security policies, employment, digital transformation, environmental protection and improving the quality of people's lives. Many opinions suggested that candidates, if elected, should maintain close contact with voters, regularly listen to and truthfully reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the people to the National Assembly and functional agencies.

Mr. Tran Van Lau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, representing candidates, received, exchanged, and clarified some contents that voters are interested in; and affirmed that he will strive to train and maintain his qualities and political bravery, and fulfill his responsibilities as a people's representative if trusted.
According to the plan, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province agreed with the Provincial Election Commission to organize 12 voter meetings for each constituency for candidates for the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam to carry out election campaigns.
The contacts were carried out from the date of official list announcement and ended 24 hours before the voting start time (before 7:00 AM on March 14, 2026), ensuring compliance with regulations.
Vinh Long province has 6 electoral units, with 30 candidates for voters to choose from, and 18 National Assembly deputies to be elected. Contact conferences are organized to ensure compliance with regulations, creating conditions for candidates to present action programs, and voters to directly listen and exchange before the election day.
