In the afternoon of February 26, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) received Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise - former Counselor, Deputy Ambassador of Cuba to Vietnam, before he returned home.
At the reception, Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise affirmed the close and effective bilateral relationship between the VGCL and the Cuban Workers' Center. He expressed his honor to be a witness to this close relationship for the past 4 years.
He thanked the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for its support for the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam as well as the close coordination between the trade union organizations of the two countries.
Speaking at the reception, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang highly appreciated Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise's contribution to the friendship and special relationship between the Party and People of Vietnam in general and the two Trade Union organizations of the two countries in particular.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang thanked Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise for his concern for the Vietnam Trade Union organization. Along with the development in the relationship between the two countries in recent times, the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam - Cuba trade unions has been constantly strengthened and developed.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that, according to the policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Party and people of Vietnam always accompany and consider the Party and people of Cuba as close, reliable, and loyal friends. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang expressed his friendship and solidarity with colleagues at the Cuban Workers' Center.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed the unwavering affection of the VGCL for the Cuban Workers' Center in particular and the Cuban people in general; expressed his wish that this year the center will successfully organize a congress at the central level.
Through Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang sent his thanks for the contributions of the center's leaders; and at the same time believed that in dialogues at international forums, Vietnam and Cuba always support each other.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that the Vietnam Trade Union organization will continue to consolidate and deepen the exemplary brotherly relationship, traditional friendship, and faithful solidarity between workers and trade union organizations of Vietnam - Cuba and wishes to further develop that special relationship in the coming time.
