On the afternoon of January 5, Hanoi City Police (CATP) held a ceremony to announce the Decision to appoint the title of Head of the Investigation Security Agency for Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat, Deputy Director of CATP.
Authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police, chaired the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi Police Department congratulated Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat on being trusted and appointed by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to hold the position of Head of the Investigation Security Agency of Hanoi Police Department.
Assigning tasks to Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat in his position as Head of the Investigation Security Agency of the City Police, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung requested him to continue to strive to train and improve his political, professional, legal, informatics, and foreign language skills; constantly innovate his thinking and working methods to meet task requirements in the new situation.
The Director of the Hanoi Police Department emphasized that in the context of the world, regional and domestic situation continuing to have many complex developments, the task of ensuring national security and maintaining social order and safety in the Capital sets increasingly high and heavy requirements.
In his new important position, Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat needs to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, maintain principles, promote the strength of solidarity and unity in the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the City Police and the Investigation Security Agency, proactively advise and direct the effective implementation of security work.
The Director of the City Police noted the key tasks in ensuring absolute security and safety of the 14th National Party Congress, expected to take place from January 19, 2026 to January 25, 2026; elections of the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, taking place in March 2026.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung also directed the Professional Security Departments of the City Police to continue to closely coordinate and actively advise the Head of the Investigation Security Agency in preventing and combating crimes and violations of the law on national security; thereby contributing to maintaining political stability, social order and safety in the Capital.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat - Deputy Director of the City Police emphasized that this is both an honor and a great responsibility; and at the same time expressed his determination to make the highest efforts to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat affirmed that he will work with the collective leadership and command of the Investigation Security Agency of the City Police to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity; strictly implement the principle of democratic centralism, promote personal responsibility, and build a comprehensively strong Investigation Security Agency of the City Police, meeting the requirements of protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety in the Capital.
