On May 13, Hanoi City Police held a conference to evaluate the plan to arrange the headquarters of the Commune Police according to the 2-level local government organization model.

The Director of Hanoi Police requested relevant units, especially the Logistics Department, to study and ensure effective support facilities for patrolling and controlling in the area and need to have a long-term vision, ensuring the ability to respond to the Commune-level Police in the following years.
At the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat - Deputy Director of Hanoi Police, requested the Logistics Department to report in detail on the results of research, surveys and specifically developed arrangement plans; and requested that former district-level police commanders contribute their direct opinions to complete the implementation plan.
According to the report of the Logistics Department, Hanoi City Police has completed a survey and selected headquarters for the Commune Police, headquarters are prioritized for being located near the new administrative center, ensuring convenience for the operation of the Commune Police force as well as serving the people.
In particular, most headquarters have fully met the set standards, some headquarters have met basic requirements, the remaining few need to propose specific plans for upgrading and improving.
Immediately after the report of the Logistics Department, the representative of the former district-level police commander directly commented on each area under his responsibility.
Accordingly, all opinions basically agreed and highly appreciated the arrangement plan developed by the Logistics Department, ensuring the exploitation of existing facilities, avoiding waste; creating maximum favorable conditions for the Commune-level Police to operate according to the 2-level local government model.
In his concluding remarks, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung directed the Logistics Department and relevant units to gather and record comments and contributions, continue to closely coordinate with competent authorities to study and adjust the plan to arrange scientific and synchronous headquarters; ensure maximum use of available resources.
Restructing the headquarters of the Commune-level Police is not only a professional task, but also an opportunity to improve the quality of work, build an increasingly disciplined, elite, modern Capital Police force from the city to the commune level, aiming to serve the people better in the new era - Director of Hanoi Police emphasized.
