On October 26, Inspection Team No. 1, the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Actions announced a draft report on inspection results, directing the implementation of a coordination mechanism to detect and handle corruption and negative actions through inspection, auditing, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of sentences at the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.
At the meeting, the representative of the inspection team announced the draft report of the inspection results.
Through the process of directly working, examining and verifying at 8 Party committees, Party organizations and agencies under the province, Inspection Team No. 1 found that the Party organizations and agencies had carefully prepared the working content as required; were serious and responsible in reporting, exchanging and providing information.
In the past time, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities of Quang Tri province have paid attention to leading and directing the implementation of many measures to prevent, stop, detect, and handle corruption and negative activities in the locality with great determination and effort.
From there, the goal of preventing and gradually pushing back corruption is gradually achieved; creating a clear change to maintain political stability and socio-economic development. The implementation of the coordination mechanism between functional agencies in detecting and handling corruption and negativity through inspection, auditing, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments is emphasized.
Since the beginning of 2021, the Provincial Party Committee has led and directed the inclusion of anti-corruption content in the annual and full-term inspection and supervision programs of units. Direct inspections have been conducted on 8 agencies, units, and localities regarding the work of detecting, transferring, receiving, and handling information about crimes, 6 agencies and localities regarding the work of appraisal and valuation, etc.
In addition to the achieved results, there are still some shortcomings, limitations, difficulties and problems such as: the process of collecting documents and evidence to determine signs of violations or crime composition still faces many difficulties; implementing the coordination mechanism, awareness and application of the law in some cases still lacks consensus.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of Inspection Team No. 1 - acknowledged and highly appreciated the coordination between the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee during the inspection period. The units have prepared a complete report in an objective and honest spirit. Through this draft conclusion, the members of the inspection team will continue to study, supplement and complete it to make an official conclusion as soon as possible.
Representing the Standing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Quang Tung - Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee accepted the direction of the Inspection Team, and at the same time updated and adjusted the working plan for the coming time, thereby overcoming shortcomings, limitations, difficulties and obstacles.
