Inspector-General Doan Hong Phong has just reported on the implementation results of a number of Resolutions of the 14th National Assembly on thematic supervision and questioning and the Resolution of the National Assembly on thematic supervision and questioning from the beginning of the 15th term to the end of the 4th session.
The Inspectorate said it will continue to guide and urge sectors and levels to implement solutions to prevent corruption.
Regarding publicity and transparency in the operations of agencies, organizations and units: ministries, branches and localities inspected 3,455 agencies, organizations and units regarding publicity and transparency, and discovered 267 units in violation.
Conducted 1,783 inspections of the implementation of regimes, norms, and standards, discovered 192 violations, 332 violators, recommended the recovery and compensation of 35.9 billion VND.
There were 304,212 people who declared their assets and income during the period; 3,214 people had their asset and income declaration verified; 2 people were disciplined for dishonest asset and income declaration.
Total number of corruption cases detected: 25 cases, 35 people.
Regarding handling the responsibility of leaders when corruption occurs: During the reporting period, there were 17 cases where leaders were concluded to be irresponsible for allowing corruption to occur.
In the coming time, Inspector-General Doan Hong Phong said that he will strengthen state management in preventing and combating corruption and negativity, and effectively implement solutions to prevent corruption.
Improve the effectiveness of detecting and handling corruption and negativity, focus on inspecting sensitive areas, areas with high risk of corruption or areas with a lot of public opinion about corruption and negativity; inspect the responsibility of leaders in implementing laws on corruption prevention and control.
Strengthen monitoring and evaluation of anti-corruption and anti-negativity work nationwide and in each ministry, sector and locality; continue to research and complete a set of criteria for comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of anti-corruption and anti-negativity work for ministries, sectors and localities.
