Inspecting the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity in Quang Tri

QUANG TRI - The Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and anti-negativity will inspect the coordination, detection and handling of corruption and negativity in Quang Tri province.

On the afternoon of October 3, Inspection Team No. 1 - Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity led by Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

The inspection team announced a plan to inspect the leadership, direction, and implementation of coordination mechanisms, detection, and handling of corruption and negativity through inspection, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments. The inspection timeline in Quang Tri is from 2021 to 2024.

In Quang Tri, in recent times, the fight against corruption and negativity in the area has received attention, leadership and direction from Party committees and authorities at all levels and has achieved many positive results. Many corruption cases have been discovered, resolutely fought and handled in accordance with regulations.

Coordination between agencies in the internal affairs sector and functional agencies is increasingly close, synchronous and effective.

At the working session, members of the Inspection Team as well as Quang Tri province discussed the results achieved, difficulties, limitations, shortcomings, and made recommendations and proposals.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Do Van Chien said: Through the inspection, we will point out good and effective ways to commend and replicate; at the same time, we will detect shortcomings, limitations and shortcomings to clearly identify the causes, propose solutions to overcome and do better in the future.
