On January 12, speaking at the closing of the 53rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that after a period of urgent and serious work, the National Assembly Standing Committee has completed all the contents.
Accordingly, the content of the meeting is to consider and give opinions on the report on people's petitions of the National Assembly in December 2025.
At the same time, passing 2 resolutions: Resolution stipulating the regime for issuing and using uniforms, badges, and badges of leaders of the People's Procuracy (VKSND) at all levels, Prosecutors, Inspectors, Investigation officers and Prosecutor's Identity Cards; Resolution stipulating the number and structure of proportions of Prosecutor ranks of the VKSND and the Military Procuracy.
Speaking at the closing of the session, the National Assembly Chairwoman requested relevant agencies to coordinate, prepare early and thoroughly the contents to submit to the National Assembly Standing Committee; The Government needs to actively complete the dossiers of projects and submit them on time according to regulations.
Regarding the preparation of the program for the 1st session of the 16th National Assembly, scheduled to be held in April 2026, the National Assembly Chairman noted that the arrangement and arrangement of content, especially personnel work at the session, needs to be carefully and scientifically calculated to ensure a reasonable time.
In addition, the Delegate Affairs Committee and relevant agencies proactively develop and prepare appropriate plans.
According to the plan at the 1st Session, the content submitted to the National Assembly for consideration, comments and approval increased from 10 to about 13 contents.
Therefore, the National Assembly Chairwoman requested agencies to carefully review, focus on issues that are really urgent and necessary; and at the same time proactively prepare early and remotely for the contents to be submitted at the session.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that after successfully organizing the 14th Party Congress, the key task will shift to preparing for the Lunar New Year and preparing for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Regarding the preparation for the Lunar New Year, the National Assembly Office needs to closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and relevant units to organize thoughtfully, ensuring practicality and efficiency.
Regarding election work, the National Assembly Chairwoman requested that, after the inspection period ends, the Chief of Office of the National Election Council urgently summarize the results, report to the Politburo, the Secretariat and the National Election Council; and prepare well for the fifth meeting of the National Election Council, expected to be held before the Lunar New Year holiday.
The National Election Council needs to soon have documents directing localities to deploy election work during the Lunar New Year holiday; clearly stipulate specific tasks to be implemented, ensuring continuous leadership from the grassroots to the provincial level, and preventing the situation of negligence and interruption of election preparation work due to the Lunar New Year holiday.
