On the afternoon of January 8, in Hanoi, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired the Conference of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to consider and give opinions on the introduction of personnel to run for National Assembly deputies (NA deputies) to work full-time in the XVI term at the Central level.
At the Conference, delegates considered and agreed to introduce 145 candidates to be full-time National Assembly deputies of the XVI term at the Central level, including those who were introduced for re-election and first-time candidacy, as a basis for conducting the Conference to collect opinions from voters in their workplace.
At the same time, notify individuals to deploy procedures for applying for full-time NA deputies of the XVI term at the Central level.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly also considered and appointed the Assistant Member of the Politburo, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man assigned the Standing Committee of the Delegate Affairs Committee to coordinate with agencies to continue appraising dossiers and completing the notice document of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the list of people recommended for candidacy for full-time NA deputies of the XVI term at the Central level.
Notice to agencies and individuals to collect opinions from voters in their workplaces and deploy procedures for applying for full-time NA deputies of the XVI term at the Central level to ensure progress according to the provisions of law; complete the Resolution on the appointment of Assistant Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
The National Assembly Chairman requested the Chairman of the Ethnic Council, the Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees, and the Chairman of the National Assembly Office to be responsible for the personnel of the agency he introduced.
For businesses participating in the election, it is proposed that the Delegation Affairs Committee send functional agencies to verify and appraise in accordance with regulations with the spirit of "the right person, the right job".
In addition, the National Assembly Chairman assigned the National Assembly Office to coordinate with the Delegate Affairs Committee to organize a Conference to collect opinions from voters in their workplaces for comrades who are nominated for election and are working in agencies of the National Assembly.
