Ho Chi Minh City - Voters believe that the pressure of commune-level civil servants is currently very high, which may affect the quality and progress of resolving work to serve the people.

On May 13, National Assembly Delegation No. 4 organized meetings with voters in the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City after the first session of the 16th National Assembly. In which, Mr. Le Khanh Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Presidential Office; Major General Nguyen Thanh Trung - Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command - directly met with voters in Ba Ria and Long Huong wards; and at the same time, had online meetings with voters in Vung Tau, Tam Thang, Rach Dua, Phuoc Thang wards and Long Son commune.

At the conference, voter Vo Hong Dao (Long Huong ward) raised a recommendation that it is necessary to soon issue complete documents guiding the implementation of laws and resolutions to ensure synchronization and unity, avoid slow implementation at the grassroots level, so that the guidelines and resolutions of the National Assembly go into life and promote practical effectiveness.

At the same time, according to voters' opinions, commune-level civil servants are facing a lot of pressure regarding the workload. Many tasks previously belonging to higher-level departments and branches are decentralized and assigned to commune levels to implement, while the current number of staff is still limited. This not only creates great pressure but also affects the quality and progress of solving work to serve the people. Therefore, it is proposed that the National Assembly pay attention to considering and supplementing appropriate staff to ensure sufficient human resources to perform well the assigned tasks, meeting the requirements of administrative reform and serving the people better and better.

Many voters also contributed opinions on rising consumer prices; the exploitation and use of public land funds and public assets waiting for planning to combat wastefulness; proposed to supervise the implementation of the work of resolving citizens' complaints and denunciations to ensure compliance with legal regulations; solve environmental sanitation issues; create jobs for young people in the area...

Speaking at the voter contact conference, Mr. Le Khanh Hai said that the areas attending voter contact all have a very special position in the new development space of Ho Chi Minh City; and the issues raised by voters are all very practical.

On that basis, Mr. Le Khanh Hai exchanged some contents related to voters' recommendations such as: planning, infrastructure and urban embellishment; land management; economic management, market, price, tax policies; on employment issues, education for youth in the locality; resolving citizens' denunciations...

I think that the issues raised by voters are very close to reality. People are not only concerned about macroeconomic indicators, but more importantly, whether daily living costs are reduced or not; whether market prices, electricity and water bills, travel, transportation, education, and medical examination and treatment are appropriate or not... I sincerely thank voters' opinions for reflecting, proposing wishes, and recommendations. These contents will be summarized and reflected to the National Assembly, the Government, and functional agencies to continue to pay attention to completing policies and laws in the coming time," said Mr. Le Khanh Hai.
