The People's Committee of Da Nang City issued Decision No. 556/QD-UBND to complete the Working Group to deploy the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet is the Head of the Group; Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong is the Standing Deputy Head of the Group. The Deputy Heads include: Mr. Vu Quang Hung (Head of the Management Board of CNC and Industrial Parks), Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong (Department of Industry and Trade), Mr. Duong Xuan Sinh (Department Head of the Customs Sub-Department of Region XII).
The working group is responsible for advising the City People's Committee on the implementation of the Free Trade Zone. Working groups concurrently hold jobs and enjoy the regime according to regulations; The Head and Permanent Deputy Head of the Working Group use the seal of the City People's Committee; the Deputy Heads are allowed to use the seal of the agency when authorized.
In Plan No. 07/KH-UBND implementing Decision 1142/QD-TTg dated June 13, 2025 of the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested units to develop documents to propose new policies in addition to Resolution 136, to be completed in 2025.
Urgently adjust land planning and procedures at 5 locations that can be immediately implemented and develop a site clearance plan at locations 1 and 4. Assign departments and branches to study policies to support investment in technical infrastructure, society and site clearance costs for strategic investors.
Develop criteria for selecting strategic investors and secondary investors; organize investment promotion, coordinate with the Da Nang Financial Center. Propose medium-term public investment capital, prioritize transportation and information infrastructure; prepare for investment, submit for approval.
Complete the personnel apparatus, provide professional training, and issue coordination regulations. Propose guidance on customs procedures; develop specialized software, organization and equipment projects. Survey and propose adjusting the boundary of the area to the South when appropriate.
