On the morning of June 23, at the 24th session of the 10th Da Nang City People's Council, term 2021-2026, Mr. Ho Ky Minh - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee reported on the implementation of the State budget estimate for the first 6 months of the year and measures to manage and operate the State budget for the last 6 months of 2025.
Notably, the State budget revenue in the area by May 31, 2025 reached 52.9% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council. Of which, domestic revenue reached 54.5%, revenue from import-export activities reached 42.1%.
Based on the budget revenue of the 5 months, the estimated implementation for the 6 months is 15,769,050 million VND, reaching 61.4% of the estimate assigned by the People's Council (reaching 52.5% of the target strived for according to the Resolution of the City People's Council) and equal to 116% over the same period.
At the meeting, Mr. Ho Ky Minh also stated the reasons affecting the collection results in the first 6 months of 2025 such as the world situation with many unpredictable fluctuations, most notably the US counterpart tariff policy, complicated strategic competition between major countries.
Non-traditional security challenges continue to affect global economic and trade growth forecasts in 2025.
Mr. Ho Ky Minh emphasized that 2025 is the year that needs to create a breakthrough to complete the goals and tasks according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 22nd National Party Congress of the city and the Resolution of the City People's Council, the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025. In particular, Da Nang City strives for GRDP growth in 2025 of over 10%.
Da Nang City continues to review and promptly transfer capital plans for slow-disbursement projects to supplement other projects with good disbursement capacity and need to speed up progress according to regulations.
Especially important and urgent projects, dynamic and key projects, prioritizing site clearance, volume payment, etc.
Direct agencies and units assigned to prepare for investment projects urgently and seriously, speed up the progress of preparation and submission of investment policy documents.
Regarding general solutions, the People's Committee of Da Nang City continues to focus on implementing tasks and solutions to remove difficulties in production and business, ensure social security, promote investment in Government Resolutions, Prime Minister's Directive, conclusions and announcements of the City Party Committee and Resolution of the City People's Council in 2025;
The People's Committee of Da Nang City continues to direct agencies to monitor the budget collection progress to promptly find solutions to promote collection work;
At the same time, urgently deploy necessary work after arranging administrative units and organizing a 2-level local government model to ensure that financial resources for the new apparatus are soon completed and stable without affecting budget expenditure tasks.
