On the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Propaganda Department and the Propaganda Department of the Army (May 11, 1946 - May 11, 2026), General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense - sent congratulatory letters to officers, staff, and soldiers of the Propaganda Department and the Propaganda Department of the Army through various periods.
In the letter, General Phan Van Giang clearly stated that, through 80 years of construction, combat and growth, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, directly the Head of the General Department of Politics, the Party Committee of the General Department of Politics, of Party committees, commanders, and political agencies at all levels; with the attention, close coordination, and effective assistance of all levels, sectors, localities, agencies, and units inside and outside the Army; generations of cadres, employees, and soldiers of the Department of Propaganda and Training and the Propaganda and Training sector of the Army have promoted the good nature and glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army; united, steadfast, proactive, creative, and excellently completed the task of advising and directing the implementation of propaganda and training work, building a politically strong Army, building clean and strong Party organizations in terms of politics, ideology and morality, promoting political and spiritual factors, revolutionary heroism, the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers", national and military traditions, and establishing
General Phan Van Giang warmly praised and commended the achievements and progress and maturity of the Department of Propaganda and Training and the Propaganda and Training sector of the Army in the past 80 years.
