On January 19, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense - and his delegation visited and presented Tet gifts in Thai Nguyen province.

Also participating in the delegation were Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 1, Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and leaders of Thai Nguyen province.

General Phan Van Giang and his delegation visited and presented gifts to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, Military Command, Police and Veterans Association of the province. They visited and presented gifts to Tan Thinh Ward, Linh Son Commune (Thai Nguyen City), Dong Hy District, and Military Region 1 Command.

At the program, General Phan Van Giang, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense, congratulated Thai Nguyen province on its achievements in recent years. In 2024 alone, despite facing many difficulties due to epidemics, natural disasters, storms and floods, thanks to solidarity, Thai Nguyen province has basically completed its set goals and tasks; achieved many achievements in the fields of socio-economic development.

Thai Nguyen's economic growth in 2024 will reach 6.5% (higher than the national average). Budget revenue will reach more than 19,000 billion VND, equal to 122% of the central government's estimate. Social security, national defense and security will be maintained and strengthened.

The development achievements of Thai Nguyen in recent years are a combination of many factors. In particular, they originate from breakthrough decisions, especially the attention to developing transport infrastructure with regional connectivity. Continuously improving the investment environment, promoting administrative reform, and training and developing human resources.

General Phan Van Giang expressed his belief that the results achieved in 2024 will be the driving force for Thai Nguyen province to accelerate and make a breakthrough in 2025. From there, many great achievements will be achieved, and the set goals will be fully achieved. Continue to take better care of policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, and the poor, especially during the Lunar New Year.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, General Phan Van Giang sent his best wishes to the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Thai Nguyen province for a happy and safe New Year; to achieve many achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and towards the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

On behalf of the leaders of Thai Nguyen province, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung expressed his gratitude to the working delegation for their attention and special affection for Thai Nguyen. Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung hopes to continue receiving attention, support, and creating favorable conditions for the locality to complete its political goals and tasks in the coming time.
