On December 16, according to information from the Government Inspectorate, the Department of Anti-Corruption and Negativity (Department IV) under this unit held a conference to summarize the work in 2024.
The report at the conference showed that in 2024, the direction and operation of Department IV continued to have positive changes in all aspects of work, achieving many results in implementing political tasks, basically meeting the requirements of the Government Inspectorate's leaders; State management work on preventing and combating corruption and negativity; asset and income control was strengthened, gradually going into depth, with many advances in consulting, synthesizing, and institution building.
Regarding inspection, examination, and grasping the situation of corruption, in 2024, Department IV completed the draft conclusion of the thematic inspection on Supporting people with revolutionary contributions to improve housing to report to the Prime Minister; drafted a report on inspection results, draft conclusion of the inspection of responsibility for implementing the law on corruption prevention and control at the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to report to the Government Inspector General.
Regarding asset and income control, Department IV has advised the Government Inspectorate on a document requesting standardization of the list under the authority of asset and income control of the Government Inspectorate in 8 ministries and branches.
Draft Plan for the implementation of asset and income verification in 2025, requesting comments from the Government Inspector General. Receive declarations under the authority of the Government Inspectorate; Coordinate with the Management Board to build a National Database on asset and income control.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Bui Ngoc Lam acknowledged and highly appreciated the work results achieved by the collective of Department IV in 2024.
Regarding the key tasks in 2025, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Bui Ngoc Lam requested the collective of cadres and civil servants of Department IV to continue promoting the achieved results and overcome the remaining limitations in 2024; urgently complete the scoring and assessment of the anti-corruption work of localities according to the Provincial Anti-Corruption Assessment Index in 2024;
Focus on giving priority to reports on anti-corruption work; focus on anti-corruption and negativity work in the private sector; ensure impartiality and objectivity in asset and income verification; closely follow the locality and scope of functions and tasks; innovate working methods and approaches to achieve the best results in all aspects of work.
