At the reception, General Secretary and President To Lam congratulated Ambassador Nicolai Prytz on excellently completing his term of office in Vietnam; acknowledged and highly appreciated the good feelings, enthusiasm and positive contributions of the Ambassador to the consolidation and development of friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Denmark in the past time; assessed that the Ambassador has effectively promoted the role of bridge between agencies, localities and the business community of the two countries, contributing to turning bilateral cooperation orientations into specific and practical programs and projects.
Expressing satisfaction with the positive developments of Vietnam - Denmark relations in recent years, the General Secretary and President emphasized that the establishment of the Green Strategic Partnership between the two countries in 2023 is an important milestone, opening up many opportunities for cooperation in the fields of green growth, energy transition and climate change response.
The General Secretary and President highly appreciated the fact that many leading Danish businesses have expanded investment in Vietnam with large-scale projects, advanced technology, environmentally friendly, suitable to Denmark's strengths and Vietnam's new development model orientation; and at the same time said that the direct flight route between Vietnam and Copenhagen opened from December 2025 along with Vietnam's visa exemption policy for Danish citizens has contributed to promoting tourism, business opportunities, investment, and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The General Secretary and President requested the two sides to promote the effectiveness of the Green Strategic Partnership framework, and at the same time strengthen cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, science and technology, education and training, culture and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to bringing Vietnam-Denmark relations to develop more comprehensively, substantively and sustainably.
Ambassador Nicolai Prytz said that the Danish Government values strengthening cooperation with the Asia-Pacific region, in which Vietnam is identified as one of the key partners and priority countries.
The Ambassador happily said that there are currently more than 150 Danish businesses operating in Vietnam. Large-scale investment projects of leading corporations such as LEGO, Pandora and A.P. Moller-Maersk/APM Terminals not only show the strong belief of the Danish business community in Vietnam's development prospects but also contribute to promoting technology transfer, innovation, improving the quality of human resources and spreading sustainable development standards.
In addition, Vietnam is increasingly becoming an attractive destination for Danish tourists, while Vietnamese businesses are also starting to expand investment in Denmark, reflecting the increasingly balanced and close development of bilateral economic relations.
Affirming that Denmark will continue to accompany Vietnam in the process of green transition and sustainable energy development, the Ambassador said that the two countries still have much room for cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, offshore wind power, green infrastructure, digital transformation, healthcare, agriculture and sustainable food systems.
