On August 3 and 4, the Dong Phuoc Commune Party Committee held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The Congress was attended by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Loan - Member of the Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Principal of the City Political School.
Reviewing the outstanding results in the past term, the Dong Phuoc Commune Party Committee has led and directed the implementation to achieve and exceed 12/13 targets set by the Resolution. The socio-economic development is in line with the orientation, the cultural and social fields are enhanced; national defense and security work is maintained stably and stably.
The principle of democratic centralism is seriously implemented, democracy in Party cell formation is promoted. The Party's inspection and supervision work has been strengthened. The work of building the Party, building the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations has been directed with attention and has had many positive changes.
In the next 5 years, the Commune Party Committee will determine the development orientation and goals of "Inheriting the tradition of solidarity and the will to self-reliance and self-strengthening; continuing to build, rectify the Party and streamline the political system to improve effectiveness and efficiency; applying science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in all fields; mobilizing all resources, building Dong Phuoc commune to develop quickly and sustainably, people have a prosperous, civilized and happy life".
On that basis, the Commune Party Committee determined 16 specific targets in the fields of economy; culture - society; environment; national defense - security; building the Party and the political system, with 5 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Loan - Member of the Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Principal of the City Political School - acknowledged and praised the results achieved by Dong Phuoc commune in the last term.
To successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the coming term, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Loan suggested that the Congress and the Party Committee of Dong Phuoc commune quickly stabilize the organization, build a united and united bloc throughout the Party Committee; Specifically identify the key projects, plans and tasks that need to be implemented to successfully implement the goals of the Congress resolution.
At the same time, promote comprehensive digital transformation; Strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party and political system, associated with promoting administrative reform in the Party; Ensure national defense and security work, maintain social order and safety.
The Congress also launched the Executive Committee of the Dong Phuoc Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, including 33 comrades. Mr. Nguyen Cong Duy holds the position of Secretary of the Dong Phuoc Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
After the merger, Dong Phuoc commune has a natural area of 40 km2, population of 40,105 people. The commune party committee consists of 43 affiliated party organizations and 1,213 party members.
