    Vinh Long - On June 30, the province announced Resolutions and Decisions on merging communes, wards and personnel work.

    On the morning of June 30, Vinh Long province (new) was officially established on the basis of arranging the entire natural area and population of Vinh Long province, Tra Vinh province and Ben Tre province.

    Vinh Long province (new) has a natural area of 6,296.20 km2, a population of 4,257,581 people; has 124 commune-level administrative units, including 105 communes and 19 wards.
