Creating a premise, marking a new period
Yesterday (February 19), after more than 6 working days, the 9th Extraordinary Session ended. Talking to Lao Dong, Dr. Nguyen Viet Chuc - Deputy Head of the Advisory Council on Culture and Society (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) highly appreciated the National Assembly's innovations in law-making. Although the session took place in a short time, it brought up many important contents, not just an extraordinary session to resolve issues according to the provisions of the Constitution.
Moreover, this session also creates a premise, marking a new period, a turning point of the nation, strongly marking the change in law-making, socio-economic management, and the State apparatus.
The session has many important contents approved by delegates with high approval ratings and a vibrant session atmosphere, looking forward with all positive motivations. I myself and voters following the session believe that with the difficulties in mechanisms and institutions that have been resolved, 2025 will be a breakthrough year, contributing to the successful implementation of the tasks and targets set by the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and also the result to the success of the 14th National Party Congress in 2025" - Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council on Culture - Society said.
Putting great expectations on the National Assembly's decisions
In the spirit of "sharing hands" and urgency of the National Assembly and the Government in responding to urgent issues of the country in the spirit of "running and lining up at the same time", some delegates said that the effect of the Party's policy has created synchronization, timeliness, and created a combined strength.
Dr. Nguyen Viet Chuc added that since the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term, this is the session without a regular session with the longest tenure, discussing very important and necessary draft laws, concretizing the Party's policies, focusing on implementing Resolution 18 effectively, efficiently and effectively.
Laws passed such as the Law on Government Organization (amended); Law on Organization of Local Government (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly are all core laws related to people, organizational structure, removing institutional obstacles for the country to enter a new era in the development trend.
Sharing with Lao Dong reporter, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Trong Thinh - Senior Lecturer of the Academy of Finance - said that this is a session that brings high expectations to the people and voters nationwide. In particular, the session has issued decisions that voters and individuals have high expectations for.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Trong Thinh, the National Assembly's increase of the growth target for 2025 to 8% is well-founded and has room to do so. Because currently, the export turnover of goods has reached 400 billion USD, for 9 consecutive years Vietnam has been a super-export country, not only proving Vietnam's position in competition with foreign countries, but also affecting GDP, increasing foreign exchange reserves, ensuring national financial safety, inflation is controlled according to the target of 11 consecutive years.
However, according to Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Trong Thinh, to contribute to promoting GDP to 8% or more, there should be more solutions on money supply and compulsory reserve ratio to achieve the credit growth target of 16%. fiscal policy also needs to go hand in hand with monetary policy and other solutions to promote GDP growth. Notably, there needs to be a cautious tax increase roadmap in the context of taxes tending to increase, to encourage the development of the private economic sector.
Another solution is to make breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
