The structure of the number of Government members for the 15th National Assembly term includes 25 members:
- Prime Minister;
- 7 Deputy Prime Ministers;
- 14 Ministers of the Ministries: National Defense; Public Security; Foreign Affairs; Home Affairs; Justice; Finance; Industry and Trade; Agriculture and Environment; Construction; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Science and Technology; Education and Training; Health; Ethnicity and Religion;
- 3 Heads of ministerial-level agencies: Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Inspector General of the Government; Minister, Head of the Government Office.
This Resolution shall take effect from the date of its approval by the National Assembly.
With the National Assembly approving the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung and Mr. Mai Van Chinh as Deputy Prime Ministers, the current Government leadership has 8 people, including Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and 7 Deputy Prime Ministers.
The National Assembly also decided to approve the appointment of Mr. Tran Hong Minh as Minister of Construction; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung as Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Do Duc Duy as Minister of Agriculture and Environment; and Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung as Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
4 ministers have just been approved by the National Assembly to appoint Ministers for the 2021-2026 term, including:
Mr. Tran Hong Minh holds the position of Minister of Construction; Mr. Minh was born in 1967; Hometown: An My Commune, My Duc District, Hanoi City; Professional qualifications: Engineer, Master of Construction of Defense Works (Vietnam Military Technical Academy); academic title, degree: PhD in Bridge, Road - ground and Underground Construction (HCMC University of Science and Technology); Political theory: Senior.
He is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; a member of the 15th National Assembly.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung holds the position of Minister of Science and Technology. Mr. Hung was born in 1962; Hometown: Tan Hong Commune, Tu Son District, Bac Ninh Province; Professional qualifications: Master of Engineering, Master of Business Administration, Radio and Telecommunications Engineer; academic title, degree: Master's degree; Political theory: Senior; Foreign language: English, Russian, French.
He was a member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee.
Mr. Do Duc Duy holds the position of Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Duy was born in 1970; Hometown: Thuy Van Commune, Thai Thuy District, Thai Binh Province; Professional qualifications: University, majoring in Civil and Industrial Construction; academic title, degree: Master of Engineering, majoring in Civil and Industrial Construction; Political theory: Senior.
He is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; a delegate to the 15th National Assembly.
Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung holds the position of Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Mr. Dung was born in 1962; Hometown: Nhan My Commune, Ly Nhan District, Ha Nam Province; Professional qualifications: Master of Public Administration Management; Bachelor of Law; Bachelor of Politics; academic title, degree: Master's degree; Political theory: Bachelor. Foreign language: English.
He was a member of the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th Party Central Committee. National Assembly delegates of the 14th and 15th terms.
The Resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint a Minister for the 2021-2026 term was also approved later.
