On December 10, in Hanoi, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong chaired a department-level meeting on the work results of November and the deployment of tasks for December 2024.
The report at the meeting showed that last November, the assigned departments and units took the lead in implementing and issuing 6 inspection conclusions; continued to conduct 17 planned and unscheduled inspections; were appraising before issuing 1 inspection; had reported to the Prime Minister for comments on draft inspection conclusions of 6 inspections; were developing reports and draft inspection conclusions of 8 inspections; and were deploying 2 new inspections.
Regarding the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations, during the month, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy chaired 3 meetings; strengthened the work of receiving citizens, handling petitions and letters, coordinated with security forces and local working groups to propagate and mobilize citizens who are still residing in Hanoi to return to their localities, ensuring security and order during the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly; is preparing a report on the results of the inspection and review of 2 complaint cases and implementing 2 cases assigned by the Prime Minister.
Concluding the meeting, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong requested departments, offices and units to be proactive and active in handling work, strictly implementing working principles, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of direction and administration; civil servants and public employees to uphold their responsibility in performing public duties, discipline and administrative discipline and urgently review planned and unscheduled work to speed up progress, not leaving work behind in 2024.
Departments, divisions, and units continue to implement the 2024 inspection plan and assigned surprise inspections; speed up the issuance of inspection conclusions, especially those assigned by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity, and the Prime Minister; enhance publicity, transparency, and improve discipline, administrative discipline, and public ethics in inspection activities.
The Central Citizen Reception Committee presides over advising on plans to coordinate citizen reception during the Lunar New Year; effectively implement citizen reception at headquarters; urge localities to organize the implementation of legal regulations on citizen reception and inspect, review, and resolve mass, complicated, and prolonged complaints and denunciations according to the Government's direction.
