Accordingly, the commune-level administrative unit plan after the arrangement was agreed to be 45 units (42 communes and 3 wards), a reduction of 84 units, equivalent to a reduction of 65.1%.
Previously, from April 18 to 22, districts, towns and cities have organized to collect public opinions on the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units.
According to the Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs, the total number of voters participating in the consultation is 112,060/132,477 voters, reaching 84.59%; the number of voters agreeing with the arrangement plan is 110,131 voters, reaching 83.13%/total of voters.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Do - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee - requested the Department of Home Affairs to urgently complete the plan and submit a plan to reorganize and reorganize the commune-level administrative units.

During 3 days (2325.), districts, towns and cities will hold People's Council meetings at all levels to approve and issue resolutions on the plan to reorganize administrative units at the commune level.
