Immediately after the August Revolution in 1945 was successful, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was born, our nation had to enter two resistance wars and struggle to protect the independence and reunification of the country. The resistance war against the French colonialists ended, as well as many peoples in the world, the Vietnamese people wanted to have a peaceful, independent and free life. However, the American Empire quickly replaced the French colonialists in Vietnam, implementing the plot to divide our country, turning the south of our country into a new colony, a outpost to prevent communism in Southeast Asia and other progressive forces in the world.
During the war of invading Vietnam, the American empire mobilized a large number of soldiers with the most advanced and modern weapons, implementing many dangerous war strategies; conducted two brutal destructive wars against the North, causing many pain and losses for the people in both the country and the consequences of the war still lasted today.
Facing many difficulties, challenges, hardships, fierce, but inherited and promoted the glorious tradition of foreign invaders of his father, summarizing valuable lessons in the anti -French anti -colonial battlefield, with the bravery and wise intelligence, promoting the strength of the people and the great unity bloc of the whole nation, taking advantage of the support and assistance of the people of international friends, the people who love the world and the people who love the people. With its significance of modern stature, the Great Spring Victory of 1975 left valuable lessons in both theory and practice for the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation. That is:

Independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity are maintained; national and ethnic interests are guaranteed. The size of the economy in 2024 will rank 32nd in the world and be in the group of 20 leading economies in trade and attracting foreign investment.
People's lives have improved significantly, the poverty rate has decreased sharply, currently only 1.93% (according to multidimensional standards) compared to more than 60% in 1986. Economic, political, cultural, social, scientific-technical, national defense and security potential are constantly being strengthened.
Foreign relations are expanded; the country's position and prestige are constantly enhanced. To date, Vietnam has had diplomatic relations with 194 United Nations member countries; built cooperative relations, strategic partnerships, and comprehensive strategic partnerships with all major powers in the world, including the United States, and 2025 is also the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States.
