At the meeting, Yen Bai Provincial Party Secretary Tran Huy Tuan reported on the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee of Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces.
Accordingly, the implementation of the central conclusions and resolutions on the arrangement of administrative units at the second level of Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces has fulfilled the steps according to the process to complete and submit to the Government, the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Project on arranging administrative units at the commune level and the project of consolidating Yen Bai province and Lao Cai province as required.

On the basis of Directive No. 45 of the Politburo, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee agreed to direct the Party Congress to be completed before June 30, 2025; Direct superior level completed before August 31, 2025; The provincial Party Congress is expected in October 2025.
The two provinces of Yen Bai and Lao Cai proposed that the Central Government consider specifically regulating the number of Party committees of provincial-level administrative units after the merger to facilitate localities in the process of streamlining the organization and leadership team.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces in implementing the Resolution of the 11th Conference, the XIII Party Central Committee.
This is one of the localities that implemented the Resolution the earliest and most effectively. The two provinces have quickly and proactively directed the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus to ensure progress and quality in accordance with the set requirements.
For the arrangement and streamlining the apparatus, implementing the project of consolidating the Vietnam Fatherland Front Agency, socio -political organizations, mass associations assigned by the Party and the State, the two localities should closely follow the general principles and regulations of the Central Government; Proactively develop specific plans to ensure implementation in accordance with the set schedule.
Regarding the handling of public assets after the merger, the two localities need to implement a plan to repair, renovate and upgrade working headquarters to continue using them to serve the operations of administrative agencies after the arrangement, avoiding wasting resources and facilities.

Speaking to absorb the guidance of the Politburo delegation, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of Lao Cai People's Committee would like to thank the Central Government's attention and guidance so that the two localities will well implement the Resolution of the 11th Conference and the XIII Central Executive Committee.
