The National Assembly Standing Committee has just approved the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels for the 2023-2025 period of 12 provinces and cities.
Localities considered for administrative unit arrangement in this period include: An Giang, Dong Thap, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Tho, Son La, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Tra Vinh, Vinh Phuc.
In Ha Nam, it is expected that after implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period, Ha Nam will have 98 commune-level administrative units, a reduction of 11 commune-level administrative units.
Through review, Ha Nam province has no district-level administrative units subject to rearrangement; there are 19 commune-level administrative units subject to rearrangement (there are 11 commune-level administrative units subject to rearrangement, 8 adjacent commune-level administrative units related to the rearrangement).
Notably, according to the Ha Nam Department of Home Affairs, the number of commune-level cadres and civil servants expected to be arranged in the new commune-level administrative unit after the arrangement is 198 people (88 cadres, 110 civil servants).
The entire Ha Nam province will have a surplus of 143 cadres and civil servants after merging commune-level administrative units (92 cadres, 51 civil servants); the number of non-professional workers expected to be arranged in the new commune-level administrative units after the arrangement is 128 people, a surplus of 55 people.
To resolve and handle the surplus staff after the merger, in addition to the support policies of the Central Government, Ha Nam province also has its own support policies, contributing to creating conditions, motivating and ensuring the rights of the staff and civil servants.
