At the Press Conference on the afternoon of May 28, Mr. Nguyen Phi Da - Chief of Office of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee informed that the work of organizing the apparatus and building the government is being focused on by Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.
Currently, Dong Thap province has completed documents and procedures on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Dong Thap province according to the instructions of the Central Government. Accordingly, after the arrangement, Dong Thap province has 45 commune-level administrative units (including 38 communes and 7 wards).
The province has also fully implemented the steps to develop the Project, organize the collection of public opinions and submit it to the People's Councils at all levels in accordance with regulations in the process of arranging provincial administrative units between Tien Giang and Dong Thap.
The implementation of policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the process of restructuring the apparatus is ensured in a timely manner, to the right subjects and in accordance with regulations. To date, in Dong Thap, there are 172 cases (including 129 civil servants and 43 public employees) whose regimes and policies have been resolved according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP of the Government.
The People's Committee of Dong Thap province also reviewed and expected the number of people who will continue to apply policies to implement Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP when reorganizing administrative units at all levels to be 1,158 people (including 69 cadres from the district level and above, 278 civil servants, 227 public employees, 426 cadres and civil servants at the commune level).
"However, in reality, there are cases that have been resolved, but there are cases where agencies and organizations have proposed to continue working, so this number is only expected, not final data" - Mr. Da added.
