Don't let people rely on AI to think lazy

The National Assembly Chairman noted that artificial intelligence (AI) is the reason why smart people solve problems. But don't let people rely on AI to think.

On November 4, continuing the program of the 10th Session, the National Assembly discussed in groups 3 projects: Law on Executive Committee for temporary detention, temporary detention and prohibition of leaving the place of residence; Law on Executive Committee for criminal sentences (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Judicial Records.

Giving his opinion in the group, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the three draft laws mentioned above are of great significance, serving the work of judicial reform, reducing administrative procedures, and creating convenience for the people.

The National Assembly Chairman requested drafting agencies and reviewing agencies to continue to listen to experts and scientists to complete the above draft Laws.

In the current context, the National Assembly Chairman noted the need to apply digitalization, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence (AI) in the above areas.

It is necessary to exploit and make the most of relevant national databases, especially national databases on population, the Electronic Identification and Authentication System (VNeID) built by the Ministry of Public Security.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that people are looking forward to reforming procedures for issuing criminal records.

This time, the Law amendment must ensure donfication of documents, reduce time, promote online implementation; exemption for children, the elderly, the disabled, poor households, promote level 4 public services...

"This issue will facilitate people because most job seekers and paperwork workers now have to have a criminal record" - said the National Assembly Chairman.

Regarding the construction and management of a database of criminal records, according to the National Assembly Chairman, regulations on data standards can be supplemented; avoid data abuse.

The National Assembly Chairman noted that for AI, if it is possible to solve problems by intelligence, it is done by humans. "We are smart for us to exploit. Don't let people rely on AI to think lazyly" - the National Assembly Chairman said.

The National Assembly Chairman quoted Uncle Ho as saying, " if you study hard, you will know quickly. If you think carefully, you will have good initiatives. If you do it yourself, you will definitely be successful. If you are active, you will be healthy.

If we are lazy to think, there will be no new initiatives - the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
