The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1318/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Ninh Binh province for the 2023-2025 period.
Accordingly, Hoa Lu city was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 103.49 km2, population of 83,613 people of Hoa Lu district and the entire natural area of 46.75 km2, population of 154,596 people of Ninh Binh city.
After its establishment, Hoa Lu city had a natural area of 150.24 km2 and a population of 238,209 people.
Establish and arrange commune-level administrative units in Hoa Lu city as follows:
Establish Ninh Giang ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.47 km2 and population of 8,045 people of Ninh Giang commune.
Establish Ninh Phuc ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.30 km2 and population of 11,153 people of Ninh Phuc commune.
Merge the entire natural area of 1.04 km2, population of 14,150 people of Phuc Thanh ward and the entire natural area of 1.57 km2, population of 12,865 people of Thanh Binh ward into Van Giang ward.
Establish Ninh My ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 2.19 km2, population of 4,817 people of Thien Ton town and the entire natural area of 4.06 km2, population of 7,327 people of Ninh My commune.
Merge the entire natural area of 9.75 km2 and population of 4,826 people of Ninh Xuan commune into Ninh Nhat commune.
Merge the entire natural area of 4.23 km2 and population of 4,950 people of Ninh Thang commune into Ninh Hai commune.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Nho Quan district as follows:
Establish Phuc Son commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 10.01 km2, population of 5,426 people of Son Ha commune and the entire natural area of 17.88 km2, population of 5,850 people of Son Lai commune.
Establish Thanh Son commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 5.56 km2, population of 3,585 people of Son Thanh commune and the entire natural area of 6.46 km2, population of 3,818 people of Thanh Lac commune.
Merge the entire natural area of 4.41 km2, population of 3,643 people of Lang Phong commune and the entire natural area of 7.65 km2, population of 5,469 people of Van Phong commune into Nho Quan town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Gia Vien district as follows:
Establish Tien Thang commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 4.74 km2, population of 4,001 people of Gia Thang commune and the entire natural area of 4.43 km2, population of 5,547 people of Gia Tien commune.
Establish Thinh Vuong town on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 3.62 km2, population of 3,421 people of Gia Vuong commune, the entire natural area of 5.37 km2, population of 8,896 people of Gia Thinh commune and the entire natural area of 3.43 km2, population of 6,885 people of Me town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Yen Khanh district as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 6.37 km2 and population of 3,930 people of Khanh Tien commune into Khanh Thien commune.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Yen Mo district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 4.19 km2, population of 4,899 people of Khanh Thinh commune and the entire natural area of 3.41 km2, population of 4,289 people of Yen Hung commune into Yen Thinh town.
Merge the entire natural area of 4.33 km2 and population of 4,719 people of Mai Son commune into Khanh Thuong commune.
The resolution also stated to stop the operations of the People's Court and People's Procuracy of Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province; the People's Court and People's Procuracy of Ninh Binh city, Ninh Binh province.
Establishment of the People's Procuracy and People's Court of Hoa Lu city, Ninh Binh province.
This Resolution comes into force from January 1, 2025.
