On the afternoon of June 1st, the Final Jury of the 20th National Press Award in 2025 announced the results of the award consideration after the judging, discussion, and voting process for entries in the final round.
According to the announced results, 124 excellent works were selected for awards. Among them, 12 works won the A prize, 26 works won the B prize, 50 works won the C prize and 36 works won the Consolation prize.
Speaking at the closing of the final judging session, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Final Judging Council - said that the members of the Council worked seriously, objectively and responsibly to evaluate 177 works that made it to the final round.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, the entries this year basically meet the selection criteria, comprehensively and deeply reflecting the political, economic, cultural, social, defense, security and foreign affairs fields of the country in 2025.
Many works are elaborately invested, with the nature of discovering new issues of social life, and at the same time participating in criticism, contributing to building and perfecting major guidelines and policies of the Party and the State. In addition, many works propose good solutions and models, creating positive spillover effects in the community.
The highlight of this year's season is the appearance of many journalistic works made in a modern, creative direction, applying technology and digital platforms in the production process, expressing content. Many works attract the attention of a large number of domestic and foreign readers, showing the adaptation of journalism to the requirements of digital transformation.
From 1,692 works participating in the preliminary round, the Council selected 177 works for the final round. After the judging process, 124 best works were selected for awards.
The 20th National Press Award Ceremony in 2025 is expected to take place on the evening of June 21, 2026 in Hai Phong.
