On the evening of August 6, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held the 9th Emulation Congress "For National Security" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025).
Attending and directing the congress were Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council. Also attending were leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security. General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security chaired the congress.
At the congress, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to 12 collectives and individuals. In which, the Khanh Hoa Security Department, now Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, and Lieutenant General Cao Minh Nhan - former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Police, former Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, were honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces for their outstanding achievements in the resistance war against the US to save the country.
Also during the week, on August 7, the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security and the 20th Anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection in Thai Nguyen province took place.
On this occasion, authorized by the President, Deputy Minister of Public Security - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Major General Bui Duc Hai - Director of Thai Nguyen Provincial Police and awarded the Third Class Medal to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Thai Nguyen Provincial Police.
Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung and Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son also awarded Certificates of Merit to 19 collectives and 23 individuals with many outstanding achievements in the period of 2020-2025.
Also in the week, on August 6, Ha Tinh Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Provincial Police Director on the transfer of 3 department-level leaders.
Accordingly, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Long - Head of the Political Affairs Department was transferred to take up the position of Head of the Inspection Committee (IC) of the Provincial Police Party Committee.
Transfer Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Trinh - Head of the Provincial Police Party Committee's Inspection Commission - to take up and hold the position of Head of the Political Affairs Department.
Transfer Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Vu - Deputy Head of the Political Affairs Department - to take up and hold the position of Deputy Head of the Provincial Police Department.
