On the morning of July 31, Hanoi City Police held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security - said that the capital Hanoi is the national political - administrative center, a major center for economy, culture, and foreign affairs of the country, with a special position in the development process of the nation.
In the 50-year journey of building and developing the capital since the fall of the Revolution in 1945, according to the Minister of Public Security, Hanoi City Police has played a particularly important role, making many feats and outstanding achievements in protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety.
General Luong Tam Quang suggested that Hanoi Police continue to promote the glorious tradition of the Heroic Unit; do a good job of advising; always be proactive and ready in combat and combat service; do not be passive, surprised, do not follow criminals; uphold the spirit of "Serving the people".
Speaking in response, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi City Police - affirmed that he will seriously absorb, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the instructions.
The Director of Hanoi City Police said that the unit will synchronously deploy measures and solutions to firmly protect security and order in the capital; proactively prevent and effectively combat all types of crimes and law violations; increase the application of science, technology, comprehensive digital transformation; improve the effectiveness of state management of security and order in all fields.
Immediately after that, Hanoi City Police officially launched 4 digital transformation products including: Call center system 113, 114, Chatbot AI virtual assistant and Callbot AI.
According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, the above products not only help improve the efficiency of professional work, but also help the police force get closer to the people and closer to the people; help people easily access public services, reflect information and receive the most timely support.
At the ceremony, Hanoi City Police was honored to receive the First Class Medal of Honor.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi City Police - was also awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Order.
In addition, many officers and commanders at the department level and the Criminal Police Department of Hanoi City Police were also awarded the First, Second and Third Class Medals.
