This afternoon (November 13), at the 27th session - the thematic session of the 16th Hanoi People's Council, term 2021-2026, with 100% of delegates present voting to elect Mr. Tran The Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council, term 2021-2026.
Also at the meeting, the Hanoi People's Council dismissed Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan from the position of Chairman of the City People's Council.
Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, term XVI, 2021-2026.

Work process
From 1996 to December 2004, he was Deputy Head of the School Youth Union (Hanoi Youth Union), Member of the City Student Association Secretariat.
From January 2005 to February 2015, he was a specialist of the Department of Culture and Teaching; Deputy Head of the Department; Head of the Department of Social Culture (UBND).
In March 2016, he was Deputy Chief of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation, City People's Council.
From July 2016 to December 2018 he was Head of the Department of Social Culture (HCMC People's Council), a delegate of the Hanoi People's Council.
From January 4, 2019, he was transferred by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to work in Bac Tu Liem District, appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Tu Liem District Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
On January 14, 2019, at the meeting of the People's Council of Bac Tu Liem District, 100% of delegates elected Mr. Cuong to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee.
On July 29-30, 2020, at the 2nd Congress of the Bac Tu Liem District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Mr. Tran The Cuong was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Bac Tu Liem District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Tran The Cuong was transferred by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and assigned to the position of Director of the Department of Culture and Sports from March 1, 2021.
In August 2021, Mr. Tran The Cuong was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training.
On November 13, 2025, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council, term 2021-2026.
