The Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee presented the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Luong Van Cong, Director of the Department of Finance, to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Kien An District Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
Previously, on the morning of February 24, the People's Council of Kien An District, term 5, 2021-2026, held the 22nd Session (special session).
At the session, delegates voted to pass the Resolution on confirming the election results for the position of Chairman of the District People's Council, term 5, 2021-2026 for Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Secretary of the Kien An District Party Committee; Resolution on confirming the election results for the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee, term 5, 2021-2026 for Ms. Bui Thi Tuyet Mai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Kien An District Party Committee.
The delegates also voted to dismiss Mr. Pham Van Khanh from the position of Chairman of the District People's Council, term 5, 2021-2026, and Mr. Nguyen Truong Son from the position of Chairman of the Kien An District People's Committee, term 2021-2026, for the reason of transferring jobs.
Also at the meeting, the People's Council of Kien An District decided to establish and reorganize a number of specialized agencies under the District People's Committee under the direction of the Central Government, the City Party Committee, and the City People's Committee. Accordingly, from March 1, 2025, specialized agencies will be arranged as follows: Establish the Department of Internal Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; establish the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas on the basis of merging the Department of Economics and the Department of Urban Management; establish the Department of Culture, Science and Information on the basis of renaming the Department of Culture and Information.
