On the afternoon of September 17, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negative Phenomena (Steering Committee) held a meeting to discuss and give opinions on the results of implementing the Work Program of the Steering Committee in 2026 and the conclusions of the Steering Committee. General Secretary, President To Lam - Head of the Steering Committee chaired the meeting, according to VNA.

Concluding the meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam stated clearly that the work of building and perfecting institutions has been accelerated, gradually bringing the documents of the 14th Party Congress into life. Power control, early supervision and application of science and technology, and digital transformation have been promoted.

Supervising the implementation of major guidelines, mechanisms, new policies and key projects has also contributed to warning and rectifying violations. The work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity has been associated with handling specific works, projects, and assets with unlocking resources and determining responsibilities.

The Steering Committee has detected and handled violations strictly, in accordance with the law, without forbidden zones, without exceptions; the organization of the Steering Committee's operating mechanism has been completed, meeting the requirements of directing and comprehensively directing the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity.

The General Secretary and President pointed out that the results are still uneven and the limitations must be overcome immediately; difficulties cannot only be explained by mechanisms.

The Central Government, the National Assembly, and the Government have also issued many specific mechanisms and resolutions. It is necessary to distinguish legal obstacles from delays due to coordination; capacity, implementation discipline or avoidance of responsibility.

Regarding key tasks from now until the end of 2026, General Secretary and President To Lam proposed to complete a general review, develop handling plans and synchronously complete laws; thoroughly handle backlog projects and surplus land and housing facilities.

The General Secretary and President requested to strengthen power control, data monitoring and prevention from the root, early, and remote; to complete the handling of cases and incidents that the Steering Committee monitors and directs according to plan; to proactively identify and handle violations in new, key, and key areas.

Innovate the content and methods, improve the operational efficiency of the Central Steering Committee, especially the Provincial Steering Committee.

General Secretary and President emphasized that the Steering Committee should implement the motto "say less, do more" and "do it to the end", things that are clear must be done immediately; problems must be reported within its authority, without evasion.

The results of the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity must be measured by the mistakes that have been overcome, assets recovered, resources unlocked, corruption reduced, and people's trust strengthened.

Also at this meeting, the Steering Committee agreed to put 1 case of "Smuggling; Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences; Receiving bribes" occurring at Viet My Medical Investment Joint Stock Company and related units under monitoring and direction.
