The Politburo has just issued Decision No. 166-QD/TW dated May 18, 2026 on consolidating the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena (Steering Committee).
The Politburo decided to consolidate the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena, including 19 comrades.
According to the decision, General Secretary and President To Lam will be the Head of the Steering Committee.
Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu is Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Le Minh Tri is Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee.
The Steering Committee also has Deputy Heads including personnel: Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security; Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh.
Members of the Steering Committee include Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, General Nguyen Trong Nghia.
According to the decision, the Steering Committee also includes members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Van Quang; members of the Party Central Committee: Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy Nguyen Huy Tien; Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Hai Ninh; Government Inspector General Nguyen Quoc Doan; Minister of Justice Hoang Thanh Tung; State Auditor General Nguyen Huu Nghia; Chairman of the Law and Justice Committee of the 16th National Assembly Phan Chi Hieu; Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Dang Van Dung.
