On March 11, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Head of Steering Committee 751, had a working session with Can Tho City on removing difficulties and obstacles for backlog projects in the area.

According to information compiled on System 751, as of the end of March 10, 2026, in Can Tho City, there are recorded 54 projects with a total scale of 1,410.8 ha, total investment of 207.689.6 billion VND with difficulties and obstacles that need to be considered and resolved.
In which, the group of projects and land proposed to apply the mechanisms and policies in Resolution No. 170/2024/QH15 is 20 projects; the group of projects with difficulties and obstacles under the handling authority of ministries, branches, and localities is 10 projects; the group of PPP, BT projects is 1 project; the group of projects proposed for recovery due to handling, no longer difficulties or obstacles or having handling plans is 23 projects.
According to leaders of Can Tho City, difficult and prolonged projects in the area currently mainly fall into 2 groups. Specifically, the first group is obstacles due to failure to auction land use rights, failure to organize bidding to select investors. The second group is slow-progress projects due to site clearance, land procedures and financial obligations regarding land.

At the working session, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that removing difficulties and obstacles for projects is a major policy of the Party and State.
According to Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, this is considered as a solution contributing to promoting growth. If we remove and handle long-term "covered-up" projects, we will bring a very large resource into the economy, contributing to promoting growth, especially in the new context we set a high growth target, from 10% or more in 2026 and the coming time.
Implementing the Party's policy, more than 2,000 projects have been dismantled recently, bringing millions of billions of VND into the economy. If thousands of more backlog projects are dismantled and waiting to be handled, we will bring another very large resource into the economy to serve the goal of growth and development, making practical contributions to anti-wastefulness, improving the investment and business environment, and strengthening the trust of businesses and investors in the government.
In the coming time, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested Can Tho City to continue to review and update projects with difficulties and obstacles to fully report on System 751, thereby proposing feasible, effective, and timely solutions to remove obstacles.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister also requested that in handling difficulties and obstacles for projects, it must be in accordance with the provisions of law, and violations must not be legalized. Projects that have inspection conclusions must strictly handle the violations that have been pointed out in accordance with regulations.
