Security and order assurance plans serving the election in many localities in Can Tho City are being implemented synchronously and closely to ensure absolute safety before, during and after the election day. Police forces at all levels coordinate with the military and functional sectors to proactively prevent, detect and promptly handle situations that may arise, contributing to ensuring that the election takes place democratically, in accordance with regulations and safely.


In Vinh Thanh commune, the work of ensuring security and order to serve the election was seriously deployed, close to the actual situation. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Head of Vinh Thanh Commune Police said that the unit has developed a plan to assign forces to ensure security at 21 election groups in the area.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Hien, the commune police have coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of the City Police to strengthen patrols and controls on key traffic routes such as National Highway 80 and route 922 to ensure traffic order and safety and promptly handle arising situations.
At the same time, fire prevention and fighting work is also being prepared with fire trucks on duty at the commune election commission headquarters and fire extinguishers arranged at polling stations.
In addition, the commune police force has organized to thoroughly grasp the election protection plan, disseminate to officers and soldiers 21 hypothetical situations that may occur during the voting process to proactively handle when incidents arise.

In parallel with security assurance work, the locality also promotes propaganda activities to help people understand the meaning and importance of the election. Mr. Pham Thanh Son - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vinh Thanh Commune Election Committee informed that the whole commune currently has more than 26,600 eligible voters participating in the election with 21 constituencies, including one constituency of the People's Police force.


According to Mr. Son, to help voters understand the information and actively participate in the election day, the locality has implemented many forms of propaganda such as grassroots broadcasting systems, information groups on social network platforms and propaganda activities of departments, branches, and mass organizations. The commune also proactively coordinates with religious establishments such as pagodas, monasteries and parishes to mobilize people to understand their rights and obligations on election day.

In Co Do commune, the police and military forces have also developed a plan to ensure security and order to serve the election. Lieutenant Colonel Ho The Vinh - Head of the Commune Police said that the whole commune has 7 election teams with 25 polling stations. Each station is arranged with security forces including police, military and grassroots security and order forces.
The polling station No. 25 located at the commune police headquarters will organize early voting at 6:30 AM on March 14, 2026 and complete it before 8:00 AM on the same day. After completing the voting, the police force will quickly deploy to the remaining polling stations to continue performing the task of ensuring security and order until the end of the election.

According to the Can Tho City Election Commission, the whole city has established 103 commune-level election committees; 6 National Assembly Deputy Election Committees; 28 City People's Council Deputy Election Committees and 665 Commune-level People's Council Deputy Election Committees. The city has 2,597 electoral teams serving more than 3.1 million voters participating in voting.
