On April 19, the Standing Committees of Lao Cai and Yen Bai Provincial Party Committees jointly held a conference to assess the progress of the merger of the two provinces.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lao Cai People's Committee emphasized that the consolidation of the two provinces is a historic turning point, a premise for the creation and development of the new province based on the potential and strengths of the two localities in the coming time.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong hopes that the two provinces will continue to walk together, be unanimous, united, always innovate, be dynamic, creative, dare to think, dare to do, take the happiness of the people as the development goal to "go together, touch dreams" with the aspiration to rise in the new era.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, shared that the implementation of the Central Government's convergence policy is an important task, demonstrating the spirit and responsibility of each cadre and party member.

The Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the two localities have seriously and responsibly implemented the process of exchanging and working in a spirit of solidarity, "only discussing work but not retreating", towards a sustainable development future after the merger.

Within the framework of the working session, the Secretaries of the Yen Bai and Lao Cai Provincial Party Committees both assessed that there is still a lot of great work ahead, requiring consensus, creativity, and determination from the Party Committee, government to each cadre and Party member.

Unity is not the end, it is the beginning of a new journey, reaching far and sustainably, for a land where the cultural identity of ethnic groups converges with the aspiration to rise up and develop in the new era.
