Exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level delegations; maintaining the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms; cooperation in border management and protection; human resource training; propaganda on the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos; search, repatriation, and repatriation of martyrs' remains; coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums...
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son highly appreciated the efforts of the operational agencies of the two countries' Armies in deploying cooperation tasks, especially in exchanging information and advising the leaders of the Party, State and Ministry of National Defense of the two countries on strategic policies and solutions.
At the working session, Major General Thongsamay Soukpasot informed Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son about the results of the previous talks on the same day with Lieutenant General Nguyen Huy Canh - Director of the Operations Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; and affirmed that the two agencies will strive to promote increasingly effective cooperation.
Based on the results of the talks, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son requested the two agencies to continue to coordinate more closely, strengthen information exchange, share experiences, and constantly innovate and improve the effectiveness of advising and proposing to the leaders of the two Ministries of National Defense on military and defense.
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son affirmed that the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army always value, support and create the most favorable conditions for cooperation between the operational agencies of the two Armies.
