On the occasion of the visit, working session, and attending the Singapore Airshow 2026, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the world leading position of Airbus and Boeing in the fields of aerospace, military helicopters and defense industry.
Thanking and acknowledging the information shared by Airbus and Boeing leaders within the framework of the visit and working session at Singapore Airshow 2026, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien proposed specific solutions to promote technology transfer cooperation, human resource training and technical support of Airbus and Boeing to Vietnam.
At the same time, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested Airbus and Boeing to study cooperation possibilities with Vietnamese defense industry enterprises where the two sides have strengths and needs such as: technical materials, precision mechanics, military shipbuilding and information technology and telecommunications solutions.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien respectfully invited leaders of Airbus and Boeing Group to participate in displaying and introducing products at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2026, scheduled to be held in December 2026 in Hanoi Capital.
Leaders of Airbus and Boeing Groups believe that the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition is an opportunity for Airbus and Boeing to introduce products, search, expand, and promote cooperation with Vietnamese defense industry agencies and businesses.
Leaders of the two Corporations hope that in the coming time, they will expand cooperation with Vietnamese defense enterprises in potential and strategic fields.
On the same day, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien witnessed the announcement ceremony of the Pratt & Whitney engine order agreement for 44 Airbus A320neo aircraft of Vietjet Airlines.
Within the framework of the Exhibition, Major General Phan Thi Hoai Van - Deputy Director of the General Department of National Defense Industry of Vietnam met bilaterally with Brigadier General Yew Chee Leung - Deputy Secretary of Technology, Ministry of National Defense of Singapore.
At the meeting, the two sides emphasized that, based on the good relations between the two countries, defense cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore is increasingly developing positively and favorably, in which defense industry cooperation is one of the priority cooperation contents.
The Vietnam National Defense Industry Administration welcomes Singaporean businesses to Vietnam to exchange and seek cooperation opportunities; Welcomes leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and Singaporean defense businesses to participate in the 3rd Vietnam International Defense Exhibition scheduled to take place at the end of this year.
Deputy Secretary of Technology - Ministry of National Defense of Singapore wishes the two sides to actively exchange and coordinate in the coming time, towards substantive, sustainable and in-depth projects in technology - economy.
