On 10.5, the Office of Hue City People's Committee said that in order to save budget, combat waste and ensure the process of arranging and reorganizing the administrative unit at the commune level smoothly, Chairman of Hue People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong has just signed a dispatch on the request of the suspension of new projects and works using budget capital managed by the People's Committee of the district and commune - except for the field of education, health and public benefits.
In addition, investment projects, upgrading and repairing headquarters of People's Committees at district, commune levels and commune cultural houses must also be temporarily suspended until the work of arranging local government organizations according to the 2-level model is completed.
For projects under implementation, the People's Committees at the district level are responsible for determining appropriate technical stops, not exceeding the 2025 capital plan and ensuring no outstanding debts or losses. Completed projects must be finalized before May 31, 2025.
The People's Committees of districts and towns are also required not to interrupt administrative procedures with the reason of "waiting for merger" and assign specific units to receive and handle problems in the transition process.
The Department of Finance is assigned to monitor and inspect the implementation, promptly advise the People's Committee of Hue City to handle arising issues; report periodically every 15 days, starting from May 15, 2025.
