According to a report by the Department of Finance, in January 2026, the socio-economic situation in the province continued to be stable, achieving many positive results, creating momentum and an important foundation for the implementation of the development goals for 2026.
Industrial production activities maintained a fairly strong growth momentum; the index of industrial production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 15.64% compared to the same period, of which the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 16.64%. State budget revenue achieved positive results right from the beginning of the year. As of January 27, 2026, total budget revenue in Hung Yen province reached 5,914 billion VND, equal to 7% of the estimate. Local budget expenditures are tightly managed and in accordance with regulations; credit activities are stable, and the bad debt ratio is maintained at a low level.
Investment attraction achieved outstanding results with 29 new investment projects and 17 turns of project adjustments to increase capital. The number of newly registered enterprises increased sharply compared to the same period. Investment promotion activities and business environment improvement were promoted.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed that the focus of localities and units on implementing tasks right from January has created a favorable foundation, helping the socio-economic situation achieve quite comprehensive results, with many targets increasing compared to the same period.
However, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also frankly pointed out some limitations, in which in some places, leadership, direction, and administration work is still clumsy; administrative discipline and order are not really strict, and the sense of responsibility of a part of officials and civil servants has not met the requirements of tasks in the new period.
Therefore, departments, branches, and localities need to seriously recognize, learn from experience, and promptly rectify.
