On the afternoon of June 7, in Hanoi, the 8th Congress of the State Audit Party Committee (SAC) for the 2025-2030 term solemnly opened in an atmosphere of solidarity, responsibility and expectation.
This is an important political event, evaluating the leadership results of the State Audit Party Committee in the past term, and at the same time setting out directions, goals and solutions for the next stage.
The Congress was attended by Politburo member, Party Committee Secretary, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Khac Dinh, Nguyen Duc Hai, Vu Hong Thanh and many senior leaders, representatives of central departments and branches.
On the side of the State Audit Office, there were Party Secretary and State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan; Deputy State Audit General and 177 delegates representing affiliated party organizations.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan emphasized that the Congress is an important milestone, demonstrating the spirit of innovation, political determination and responsibility before the Party Committee and the entire sector.
In the context of the country achieving many achievements after nearly 40 years of renovation, its international position and prestige are constantly improving, the Congress takes place when the entire political system is actively streamlining the apparatus, creating a premise for a new development stage.
Mr. Ngo Van Tuan said that up to now, all 32 party organizations under the KTNN Party Committee have successfully held congresses, selecting outstanding, brave and capable party committee members. The preparation for the 8th Congress has been carried out methodically and in accordance with regulations, and is the result of solidarity and collective intelligence.
Looking back on the term 2020-2025, the SAV Party Committee overcame many difficulties, closely followed the direction of the Party, the laws of the State, and the direction of the Central Government and the National Assembly. Party building work achieved many positive results: political ideology of strong cadres and party members; discipline and administrative discipline are strengthened; Organizing the apparatus effectively; The quality of human resources is improved.
SAV also promotes the application of information technology and artificial intelligence in audit activities. The audit method is renewed in a streamlined direction, reducing overlapping. The audit plan is flexible, adapting to unprecedented situations such as Covid-19 epidemic, natural disasters, or the process of rearranging the entire political system.
The quality of audits continues to be improved, audit recommendations are increasingly diverse, contributing to perfecting the State's mechanisms and policies, improving the effectiveness of public financial management, public assets and preventing and combating corruption and waste.
In addition to the achieved results, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan also frankly pointed out the limitations and shortcomings in the recent term that need to be seriously acknowledged and overcome.
With the spirit of "discipline, integrity, professionalism, quality, integration", Mr. Ngo Van Tuan suggested that the delegates promote a sense of responsibility, discuss democratically and frankly, thereby determining the direction, targets, tasks, and feasible solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
