Recently, the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee held its 33rd meeting. At this session, the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee reviewed and concluded the supervision of the Kien Giang University Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council of Kien Giang University.
Through supervision, it was found that the unit in leadership and management basically adhered to working regulations; thoroughly grasped and led the implementation of Party and State regulations on personnel work; management of procurement, construction investment, at the same time, developed specific documents, implemented thoroughly in accordance with the actual situation at the unit.
However, there are still limitations and shortcomings in the implementation of working regulations; personnel work; management and use of finance, assets, and public investment with errors; the implementation of inspection and examination conclusions still has some limitations.
The Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee requested to seriously learn from the experience of the Party Committee of Kien Giang University for the term 2020-2025 and the individual Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Council of Kien Giang University with the above limitations and shortcomings and review the experience for 5 relevant comrades; At the same time, develop a plan to overcome in the near future.
The Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee reviewed the results of the Party's financial inspection against the Standing Committee of Kien Hai District Party Committee and Mr. Tran Quoc Viet - Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology, former Secretary of Kien Hai District Party Committee. Through inspection, the unit has basically implemented the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State on the management of the Party's financial and assets.
However, there were still violations in paying incorrect regimes for drafting documents; Requesting the Standing Committee of Kien Hai District Party Committee (2021-2023) and comrade Tran Quoc Viet to seriously learn from experience, and at the same time directing 5 related individuals to learn from experience, recover and pay the state budget the amount of VND 20,182,000.
The Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee reviewed the results of the inspection of the implementation of inspection, supervision and enforcement of party discipline tasks against the Standing Committee and the Inspection Committee of the Kien Hai District Party Committee and Mr. Tran Quoc Viet.
Through inspection, the inspection committee has shown the advantages, limitations, shortcomings and requirements of the Standing Committee, the District Inspection Committee and Mr. Tran Quoc Viet to learn from experience, take measures to overcome and repair, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of inspection and supervision in the coming time.
The Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee reviewed and handled party discipline against Mr. Pham Dinh Chien, party member, primary prosecutor of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Procuracy, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Deputy Director of the Kien Hai District People's Procuracy.
During his tenure as Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Deputy Director of the Kien Hai District People's Procuracy, Mr. Chien degraded his political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; abused his assigned position and authority, leading to violations of criminal law.
His violation was very serious, causing bad public opinion, very outrage among cadres, party members and people, and damaging the reputation of himself, the party organization and the agency or unit. The Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Pham Dinh Chien by expelling him from the Party.
