On the afternoon of August 18, the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee's monitoring delegation led by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh had a working session with the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
Working content on the socio-economic development situation and progress of national key projects in the area.
Accelerating public investment, creating development momentum
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized: In the context of many fluctuations in the global economy, regional growth tends to slow down, Khanh Hoa needs to soon evaluate the results of implementing socio-economic targets.
The locality needs to clearly identify achievements and limitations to build a suitable development orientation in the new term.
In particular, the province must speed up the disbursement of public investment capital, using public investment to lead private investment according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
According to the National Assembly leader, the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units has opened up opportunities and greater internal strength for Khanh Hoa. However, new problems have also arisen that need to be resolved, especially in planning work.
The province is required to review and rearrange development space, exploiting maximum potential and advantages; if the current planning is no longer in accordance with the sectoral and national planning, it is necessary to promptly propose adjustments.
Along with that, Khanh Hoa needs to have specific solutions to realize the "four pillars" including: Resolution 66 (on institutions), Resolution 68 (on private economy), Resolution 57 (on science and technology) and Resolution 59 (on international integration).
Determined to bring the expressway to the finish line on time
At the meeting, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province reported on the progress of two important expressway projects: Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot and Van Phong - Nha Trang.
With the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway, the nearly 70km section passing through the province is being constructed by contractors, striving to exploit in early 2027.
