On May 14, Hai Phong City simultaneously held the inauguration ceremony and groundbreaking ceremony for 14 projects. The program was held at 13 bridge points, of which the main bridge point at the inauguration ceremony of the project to invest in construction, repair, and restoration of the K15 wharf relic complex, Do Son ward.
Attending the program at the main bridge point were Mr. Le Tien Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Le Ngoc Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City; Mr. Do Thanh Trung - Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee.
The project to invest in construction, repair, and restoration of the K15 wharf relic complex is invested by the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented in Do Son ward. The scale of the project to invest in construction, repair, and overall restoration of the K15 wharf relic area, on an area of about 2.28 ha, includes the main items: Repair, restoration, overall construction of the relic area campus, construction of entrance gates to the relic area, memorial tower, square yard, pier combined with flying lanterns, temple for heroic martyrs; simulation of unnumbered ships and soldiers, Relief of General Vo Nguyen Giap with the Navy; management house combined with ceremonial house; embankment encroaching on the sea, electricity supply and drainage infrastructure system, parking lot, landscape walking paths, green tree system... and auxiliary works to promote the value of the relic area. The total investment of the project is 234.539 billion VND, implemented in 2024-2026.
The completion and commissioning of the Ben K15 relic complex restoration and embellishment project is of great significance in promoting the value of the special national relic Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea; to show gratitude to heroes and martyrs, which is a place of political, cultural and tourism activities of Do Son ward, Hai Phong city and the whole country; contributing to educating revolutionary traditions, patriotism and national pride for the young generation, promoting the development of culture - tourism, economy - society of the locality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Anh Quan - Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee emphasized that the simultaneous commencement and inauguration of Hai Phong's projects today has profound political - economic - social significance, with a vibrant emulation atmosphere throughout the political system; affirming the determination of all levels, sectors and investors in accelerating the progress of deployment and completion of key projects, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 14 of the Party Congress, key Resolutions of the Politburo and is a practical proof of gradually bringing Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong city, Resolution of the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025-2030 into life.
14 works and projects started and inaugurated with a total investment of more than 24,700 billion VND, belonging to many important fields, especially the inauguration ceremony of the Project to build, repair and restore the K15 wharf relic complex - a special national relic marking the origin of legendary unnumbered trains participating in the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea; The groundbreaking ceremony of the Project to build the Cat Bi Victory Monument - an artwork commemorating the victory that contributed to the Dien Bien Phu victory, works of commemorative significance, gratitude to heroic martyrs, contributing to educating the heroic historical tradition of the city and the country.
At the same time, the city started and inaugurated projects in the fields of industrial development, energy development; transportation and social security. The above projects are of great significance, contributing to completing infrastructure, expanding development space, creating more jobs, promoting economic growth, ensuring social security and gradually improving the quality of life of the people.
In addition to the main bridge point, the city has 12 satellite bridge points organized including: The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Cat Bi Victory Monument Construction Project at Cat Bi International Airport in Hai An ward; the groundbreaking ceremony of 2 Projects: Road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10 section avoiding Vinh Bao town (old) and road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10 section passing through Kien An district (old) in Kien An ward;
Project to invest in the construction of Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway (CT. 08) section passing through Hai Phong city and 9 km in Thai Binh province (now Hung Yen province) - Construction of Van Uc 2 bridge in Kien Hai commune; Project to invest in the construction of social housing area belonging to the new residential area of Cam Dien - Luong Dien communes in Mao Dien commune;
Project to invest in developing infrastructure of Hoang Dieu Industrial Park in Gia Phuc commune; Project to invest and build and operate infrastructure of Thuy Nguyen Industrial Park (Phase 1) in Bach Dang, Nam Trieu and Hoa Binh wards; Project to invest in building and operating infrastructure of Binh Giang Industrial Park in Nguyen Luong Bang commune; Project to invest in building and operating infrastructure of Nam Trang Cat Industrial Park in Hai An ward;
